Pizza Sauce

Pizza Sauce

Less is more...

Pizza sauce typically consists of tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, salt and oregano.

It serves multiple purposes, including flavor enhancement & balancing, moisture regulation and visual appeal.

The choice of pizza sauce contributes to the overall identity and flavor profile of the pizza, making it a critical component in pizza-making. By bringing a touch of acidity, the pizza sauce perfectly compliments the richness of the cheese.

While there might be some debates on whether to cook or not the sauce before making your pizza, it all comes down to one's preference.

Our preference is to apply uncooked sauce on the pizza before baking it in the oven. It accounts for a better taste of the tomato along with the other sauce components, successfully achieving a flavor equilibrium perfectly suited to compliment the melted cheese and the crispy crust.

Our flagship recipe can be found below, we hope you'll like it as much as we do.

Ingredients:

- 1 can of San Marzano tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch of oregano
